About me
Minneapolis a chosen home for 11 years and the place I earned my AEA card (with work at the Old Log and Chanhassen Dinner Theaters and a moment on the Guthrie stage) has called me, a southern CA-raised gal, back after over a decade of living the Los Angeles life. In L.A. I honed my on-camera skills through classes and SAG-AFTRA work on short films and trained more deeply in the Meisner technique which I’d first been introduced to while pursuing my B.F.A – Acting at U.S.I.U.’s conservatory program in San Diego/London. Grateful to be back in a community that beckons artists from around the country to explore, collaborate and grow professionally and to kick-off the return with on-camera work surrounded by fellow ex-L.A.-pats making quality films in the upper mid-west for broader distribution.
While acting is at the core of my being, my world is broader and deeper with time and passion given to community as a past City of Glendale, CA Arts and Culture Commission Chair, an advocate before the CA state legislature for a certified Cultural District program, a current Twin-Cities Local SAG-AFTRA board member, a humane society volunteer and dog trainer, and long-time work with a national nonprofit dedicated to creating and fostering permanently affordable living and working space for the creative sector. And like most artists my creative spirit and hands-on curiosity doesn’t like boundaries so photography, silversmithing, writing and culinary time in the kitchen all find a place on my personal artistic plate.
